Country House Buns

    4-5 cups warm water
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/3 cup canola oil
    2 eggs
    1 tbsp salt
    2 tbsp (heaping) yeast
    2-3 cups whole wheat mix

    Whole Wheat Mix:
    1 cup sunflower seeds
    4 cups whole wheat flour
    1 cup large oatmeal
    1 cup regular oatmeal
    1 cup cracked wheat

Combine all ingredients. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Punch dough until well mixed and knead for 10 minutes. Pat with canola oil and let rise for 20 minutes. Punch down and let rise another 20 minutes, repeat for 2 more times. Dough should be fairly sticky to handle. Use canola oil on board and hands when kneading instead of more flour. Shape in to buns and bread, cover; let rise in a warm place for about an hour. Bake 375°F for 20 minutes. Slip off of pans onto a cooling rack; brush with canola margarine while still hot.
